Wedding Chaperone

Want your loved one to be there for the big day?

While it’s definitely non-traditional, including pets in your wedding ceremony is a great way to personalize your day, make it a little more fun, and remove a lot of the stodgy formality.

For those who are getting married, we will escort your pet to your wedding and watch over them the whole time. Whether they have a special job in the wedding or just to come and watch. We also provide transportation to/from the wedding.

(Pricing starts at $20/hr)

Here are a few tips:

1. Don't include your pet if they don't have the temperament. Dogs are the most common participants, Cats don't usually cooperate, and small animals such as ferrets or rabbits tend to have smaller roles. Even if you don't have a special role for your pet, they can still observe the ceremony and be included in photos before or afterwards.

2. Get Permission. Don’t assume that because you love Fido and want him in the ceremony, it will be okay. Ensure that dogs are allowed in your ceremony and reception venue.

2. If you are dressing your pet, make sure they are comfortable beforehand so alterations can be made. If the ceremony is outside, make sure to consider the weather (you don't want to make your pet suffer).

3. Your pet will need a willing and able chaperone, who is prepared to deal with difficult behavior and accidents. They will need to make sure your pet is walked before the ceremony, and relieved when needed during the ceremony. Also to prevent guests from feeding your pets, they should have their own wedding meal appropriate for their species!

4. Pets are a lot like children in a wedding party, so be prepared to share a little of the attention with them.
